Eternity: Dingdong Dantes, Iza Calzado, Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado

MOTHER Lily and supervising producer Manny Valera have nothing but praises for the four major stars of “Eternity”: Dingdong Dantes, Iza Calzado, Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado. “They didn’t give us any headaches during the shooting,” says Mother Lily. “Even when their shooting was in far off locations like Ilocos and Batangas, very professional sila.”

“And they’re all so cooperative when it comes to promoting the film,” adds Manny.

“They appeared in all the mall shows we scheduled for them and they also appeared in GMA sitcoms to plug ‘Eternity’ kahit wala silang bayad doon. Really, wala kang mairereklamo sa kanila.”

But more than that, Elaine Carriedo, the line producer of “Eternity” who was mistaken by a writer as the wife of Robin Padilla at the Urian rites, says the
film is of superior quality. “Panlaban sa international festivals ito,” she gushes.

“If viewers enjoyed Direk Mark Reyes’ ‘Moments of Love’, all the more they would love this as the twin love stories of the two pairs of lovers will hook them from start to finish. Talagang matatangay ka sa sweep ng kuwento. This is also more superior technically, lalo na ang musical score ni Alan Feliciano who used a choir headed by Bayang Barrios for the most touching moments. The cinematography naman by Jay Ilao is so polished as the film was even brought to Thailand for kinescoping to make sure malinis talaga ito. All those who’ve seen the final film agree this is the cleanest local film they’ve seen on screen. The entire post-production is seamless so it can really compete abroad. Add to that the fine acting of the entire cast, including Hilda Koronel and Jaclyn Jose whose confrontation scenes really sizzle dahil pareho silang award-winning actresses na hindi matatawaran ang galing. The film has so many highlights everybody has his or her own moment to shine.”

“Eternity” will have its premiere at SM Megamall on Monday, September 4, and opens in theaters nationwide on Wednesday, September 6.
