Pinoy Idol judges open to criticisms
AFTER a rigorous search of the country’s soon-to-be most fabulous singing contest , the three meticulous judges, Ogie Alcasid, Wyngard Tracy and Jolina Magdangal, have come up with 12 hopefuls for the first Pinoy Idol (counterpart of American Idol) , which will start in April.
The winner will become a sensation with a sure prize plus a management build-up contract worth millions. After auditions in Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Batangas, Davao , Iloilo , Mega Manila, Dagupan, and Clark , a total of 178 Idol hopefuls have been trimmed down to 12.
Maverick host Raymond Gutierrez and the three judges are open to constructive criticisms as the contest proper moves on. GMA 7 holds the rights to the Idol franchise which is owned by Fremantle. The competition is a huge hit in several countries which continuously breeds talented singing artists. Pinoy Idol is destined to be the biggest search in the history of Philippine television if not in the world. [source of news]
