G Toengi, mayabang?

I think hindi naman sya ngyayabang and besides it's not about the cost of the school nasa determination yun para makapag-aral. You have to got through a lot of hoops to be accepted.

Whoever reacted na mayabang si G. is a total idiot..and so clueless on how UC systems work. Kinokompara nya sa COD eh junior college lng nman un. that means everybody can go to that school. But UCLA, u have to be at least on the top 5 of your class in high school, have a high score in SAT, take courses that are tranferable to UC. Meaning uhave to have brains, that's why G is so stoked to share her educational path. And by the way, why is it very hard for some people to be happy for others ?

I don't think she is bragging. If its truly that "easy" to get in to UCLA, then why wouldn't "ALL" highschool graduates just go directly to UC? I go to a good community college and whenever they have students transfer to a univeristy, they post their photos with their names and whatever their majoring in. This just goes to show how important and HARD to get in to that school and that only "chosen, motivated few" students are able go there, and perhaps to motivate us as well...bopol, think before you comment.

Communications and film are VERY EASY MAJORS!!! Super dali, walang ka-challenge-challenge. LMAO! :P

Wow.. total haters. UCLA is one of the top schools in the whole world. Not top 10 precisely, but it's within the 30s. Madami kayang requirements to be in the school. Don't EVER compare it to a junior/ community colleges. It does not cost $30 to get in... you spend hundreds or thousands for your whole stay. I think it is her right to talk about it.. pero syempre, kung mayabang, iba ng storya yun. Whoever commented that didn't do any research. JUST sayin'.

I'm late in seeing this thread, but this woman is arrogant and annoying. Admire her if you want for her beauty, but I'm not gonna get suckered into believing she's sweet. Man, I thought that she would be a good replacement for Jannelle So, but I was wrong. She sucks. Bring back Ms. So!!!

Oh, and by the way, it's not hard to get into UCLA if you're coming from out-of-state/outside the USA, which is technically where Giselle Töngi originated from at the time of her admission. She previously studied in New York and lived there before coming to SoCal, and she also hails from the Philippines (green card status). So, that status probably made it easier for her to get admitted to UCLA compared to high school grads coming from within the state. If you don't believe me, just Google news about UCLA & UC Berkeley admitting more out-of-state and international students due to the higher tuition that they make them pay. (See LA Times. Tht's a good source.) It's only now in 2016 that both UCLA and Berkeley are trying to change this because of complaints from California critics saying that there's an unfair balance of outsiders vs. Cali students.

Therefore, I think it wasn't hard for Töengi to get into UCLA as some of you believe. Had she been born and raised in California I might have given her more credit, but nope.
