Alice Dixson is Back

ONE of the most beautiful actresses is back. Alice Dixson recently breezed into town to do an errand for her mom, and at the same time, face the cameras again.

"It was luck," she told reporters at a small presscon at Dulcinea's Greenbelt, Makati. "My mom was asking me to fix some problems with her properties here in the Philippines. Little did I know that (TV5 programming head) Perci (Intalan) had been trying to reach me."

"Matagal ko na talaga siyang gustong makausap," revealed Perci.

"Fortunately, I got her number and so here we are."

Alice has been tapped to play Alex Gonzaga's mom in TV5's Babaeng Hampaslupa which would launch the latter to primetime teledrama stardom.

The former Palmolive "It Girl" has taped some episodes and feels excited about it.

"Nasalang ako kaagad," she said. "Medyo naninibago pa, but mabilis naman akong naka-recover."

Her husband, Ronnie Miranda, an animation and computer expert, is all-out with his support to his wife. While they have not been blessed with kids, Alice feels fortunate to have a husband who gives her the freedom to do what she thinks is good for her. "Mahirap din ang long distance relationship," she said."But now, with the Internet, it doesn't feel you're away from someone miles away."

The last time she had an acting assignment about six years ago (with GMA7), she and husband Ronnie agreed on a one-year "separation". "Pero naging three (years) at okey lang naman kami," she explained.

In the past, Alice has had commendable performances, and she is now open to doing movies again. Meantime, she is focused on her role in Babaeng Hampaslupa (which Perci clarifies isn't a remake of the Maricel Soriano starrer) and might be away from her husband for a longer period this time.
